After a mysterious misadventure abroad, Aiden returns home to find his bed lived in and his housemates clueless as to who he is. Indeed the whole town has seemingly never known him and his own family seem to have dropped off the face of the earth entirely! Homeless and desperately searching for any recognition at all, Aiden runs as murder victims begin to be found. With a killer to evade and never-ending questions, Aiden's world begins to seep into the kind of madness where only horrors dwell.

With his would-be killer slain Aiden settles into his house comfortably, with the rotting bodies of the killer and his victim in the basement below, and so Aiden's quest to discover what happened to his life takes full throttle toward some devastating discoveries! Meanwhile, the scrutinising eye of Deputy Julian's police force patrol the town, still searching for that very same killer. As they close further and further in on that insidious house, Aiden risks the police making grim discoveries of their own! Further still, unknowable forces seem to be hounding him, caring little for discretion and demanding only one thing; For Aiden to stand and fight their immaterial champion!

This is a short story about a teenage girl, Eva, escaping the orphanage that has housed her since she could remember, inspired by the song "Eva" by Nightwish. In many ways we are all like Eva, living a life that vastly differs from our dreams.
