We talk about AI like it's a tool. We grieve like there are rules. We create like someone's watching and waiting to tell us we did it wrong. SOUL is five essays about what happens when you stop asking permission - to feel, to connect, to build, to leave something behind. This isn't a debate. It's a conversation we've been having in the dark for years. Now it has a name.

When I was in high school, I hated writing essays. We were always forced to write boring topics such as: Do you think the ACT should be required? or Should schools require uniforms? or Should schools require four days of school in a week or yeah, you get the point. High school barely allow any creativity and passion to flow in us to write what we wanted to write. It was just pretty much you-better-write-bullish*t-in-30-minutes-or-you're-gonna-die essays. I was never good at timed essays because I take a long time to brainstorm on what I'm gonna write. While I'm brainstorming, everyone's already on their second paragraph. I'm not good at bullish*t writing. I don't know why. I just wasn't. I'm much more of a feeling writer. I write what I feel. If I don't feel it, I won't put something random down. For some reason, I have to feel what I write to write my thoughts down. High school was just never a help to me. We all are expected to be the exact same. They can't expect everyone to have the same pace. However, in college, it was different. We got choices to pick our own topics to writing paragraphs and essays. I really feel that I developed more on my writing skills through choosing my own topics rather than write something I don't believe in or don't feel passionate about.

A young boy who is living during WW2 is different than normal children, and to cope with his daily experiences, he's writing essays to his best friend as apart of his therapy. Uni was born with a scar over his left eye and a mental illness called Schizophrenia. Because of these differences, Uni has trouble fitting in at school, and in society. With Uni's illness, he has a hard time obtaining and holding onto interests, he also struggles with hallucinations and delusions. Uni isn't going to let this take away his love for cartoons. Every essay tells a story: follow Uni as he makes bonds, and loses them too.

THE MONET DILEMMA In May 2026, a single social media post exposed something the art world wasn't ready to admit. A user shared what they claimed was an AI-generated image in the style of Monet - and the crowd came. Critics. Enthusiasts. Self-appointed experts. They delivered their verdicts with confidence: emotionless, dull, borked, inferior. Paragraphs of technical analysis. Circles drawn on the flaws. Then came the reveal. It was a real Monet. A hundred years old. Hanging in museums. The Monet Dilemma isn't about one viral moment - it's about what that moment uncovered. The way a label shapes perception before a single brushstroke is evaluated. The economy built on the promise of expertise, and what happens when that promise fractures in public. The delete button as confession. The grief underneath the embarrassment. And the pattern that has played out, without exception, every single time humans have encountered something new enough to threaten the order they built their identity around. This is about AI art. This is about gatekeeping. This is about the story we tell ourselves before we look at anything - and how quietly it controls everything we claim to see. The gate is already a relic. The future is already here. And somewhere, someone is deleting the evidence they ever said otherwise.

Personal Essays by Filipino American author, Cecilia Manguerra Brainard, who was born and raised in Cebu, Philippines. Many of the personal essays in this book explore the author's Cebuano ties, including colorful accounts about her mother's political family, the Cuencos. The collection of 28 prose pieces also includes accounts about the author's life and travels outside of Cebu. This completed work is shared here in Wattpad. Enjoy. While this book was published by the University of San Carlos Press in Cebu, it is no longer in print. You can still find hard copies as well as the Kindle format in Amazon. PS I'm looking for an international publisher for all my works.

'Interpretation of Schopenhauer' is a personal exploration of Arthur Schopenhauer's Essays and Aphorisms (Penguin Classics), offering a fresh and accessible perspective on one of philosophy's most enigmatic thinkers. Written by a passionate reader with no formal academic background in philosophy, this book is not a specialist's critique, but a sincere and reflective interpretation from someone engaging with Schopenhauer out of curiosity, admiration, and existential interest. So, grab your copy of 'Parerga and Paralipomena' and read along!
