Into the Fire By Susan Reed She didn't mean to fall in love in a bathroom. She didn't mean to lose her children, her marriage, and herself. But when he kissed her, everything changed. This is not a fairytale. This is a confession. For eight years, Susan lived a secret life wrapped in passion, addiction to love, betrayal, and longing. Chaz was everything she never expected-raw, consuming, dangerous-and she gave up everything to be his... even when he wasn't fully hers. Told with unflinching honesty and poetic grit, Into the Fire is the true story of one woman's descent into a love that felt like oxygen and the fire that nearly destroyed her. It's about what we're willing to give up for connection... and what it costs to survive without it. If you've ever loved someone you couldn't keep, If you've ever stayed when you should have run- This story is yours, too. Also, After the Fire is the reckoning-where betrayal meets consequence and truth refuses to stay buried. Wednesdays is the obsession-an unholy rhythm of lust, secrecy, and the kind of passion that burns too hot to last. Three books. One woman's truth. The fire didn't break her-it revealed her.

Short-Story I wrote. Enjoy. ~ Out of all the years, out of all the thoughts, there has never ever been a person like Lily to Evan Pruss. Evan thinks about Lily a lot, perhaps there is an issue but assuredly it wasn't possessive or deranged. Rather it was quite idealistic and innocent. Lily was by far his main muse, however it was much more than one person, it was more so about the circumstances and things from the past that Evan will never experience ever again.

Angela Lanzia loves two people: her sister Serafina and her brother Cesare who she calls Beppo. She hates being the child of a Mafia soldier and her one wish is to get Serafina, Beppo, and herself away from her family and leave their past behind them. One thing both sisters dread, the prospect of an arranged marriage hangs over their heads. Neither one wants it. Angela has vowed that she will never allow it to happen, she will run rather than let them do that to her. Serafina lacks her strength, but Antela has told her more than once that she will protect her, they can leave together, leave the Mafia life and be free to leave their own lives. She's been Serafina's strength--she may be the younger of the two but she is the stronger. She and her sister have graduated from college and have the means to support themselves but her father has told them that Serafina is to be married to the son of his capo. Serafina is devastated, this is not what she wants. Though Angela assures Serafina that she can get them away, Serafina decides to take her life rather than submit. Angela finds her sister's lifeless body and knows that now is the time to go on the run. Beppo gives her some names and some papers he has stolen. He makes Angela promise that she will send for him when he turns 18. She promises, not knowing this is the last time she will see her brother. Death follows death in the ugly Mafia way, but little does she realize that there is someone out there who has seen it all before. He knows how she is hurting and if she will let him he will show her that love is possible, even in the midst of so much hurt. She has one thing on her mind, she is going to bring down the DeLucas, her father, and any other Mafiosi that she can. She does not know that love will await her in the most unlikely place from someone whose sole desire is to help her see this through.

My name is Madilyn. I am 16. I estranged my brother. This is my story.... note (from psyche to go ) Estrangements from family are one of the most psychologically painful experiences anyone could experience. It almost goes without saying that estranging yourself from family is absolutely counter-intuitive. Adding more stress to the already-stressful mix, society tends to project harsh judgment on people who reject their family - even as disturbed as some families can be. As a therapist who, by profession, must work to find the empathy for anyone who comes for treatment, it is hard to swallow the fact that some men and women can be so judgmental about others' experience - especially when they have no real idea about how bad things may have been in the estranger's family!" and I agree. In this book, I talk about my experiences and what led me to this decision. some events will be hard to swallow... but at least you didn't have to go through it. This story deals with the topic of borderline personality disorder (BPD) and mental health in general.
