Marlena is the muse behind the band, mentioned in their album "Il ballo della vita". Who is this mystery girl they used to sing and play about? And how does she cope with the fact they seemed to have forgotten about her now their success is booming and taking over the world. Even better, with songs Damiano wrote about her. Every fan knows her name, singing those songs that felt so intimate to her, with brilliant lyrics that touched her heart the first time she heard them. But now she only has this odd agonizing feeling hearing Damiano singing her name on the radio when she can't remember the last time she heard him in real life. *** Marlena is a fictional person created by Måneskin themself, so credits to them. And also credits for the lyric references I'll use, they belong to the band's genius minds :) Remember that this is fiction, I don't mean to image the band as someone they're not, I just wanted to write a touching background story about Marlena *** I can also recommend this story to people who don't have a connection with Måneskin, but want to read poignant prose with metaphors, sometimes with a poem in between. But I think you'll want to listen to their music anyway after reading this. I see this as a letter filled with love for the band, hoping for them that they're doing alright
