The poem reminds us that words carry power beyond sound. They hold memories, emotions, and hidden truths. "Not Just Words" speaks to how language can heal, hurt, dream, and define us showing that every word we say or write leaves a mark on the soul.

We look normal, we dress normal, we don't really see the difference when we look at each other. However, it's a different story for an outsider. Everything about us is weird. Who are we? We are Ethiopians and our country is a place for weirdos.

My story composes of mini-stories of funny and 'cringey' (a summary of personality) egg characters. It all started at my Grade 8 camp where we were split into groups according to our classes and had to tell a story with an egg or egg jokes. I would like to give a shoutout to my group, 8L (class of 2019), who won the game. I would like to thank myself for putting a lot of creative effort into the story we told. The story is my first mini-story that I edited and made as my own. My eight stories were fun egg jokes I made when I started developing my creative writing skills in Grade 11. Hope you egg-joy my humour! The egg-dings are quite odd but that's just my comedic nature. By the way the cover photo was taken 10 minutes before I wrote my description. This is all for fun so let my imagination spark more creativity in you.

In a kingdom where the flowers whispered lullabies and butterflies wore tiny jeweled crowns, lived two young siblings unlike any other-Princess YaYa and Prince Zayson. With laughter in their hearts and magic in their hands, they didn't rule from thrones of gold but from the warmth of their enchanted garden kitchen, where every dish told a story and every spice carried a memory. Guided by the gentle hands and radiant wisdom of their grandmother, Emaye Lulu, YaYa and Zayson cooked not just with ingredients-but with tradition, joy, and love. From sweet chocolate cakes that made the flowers bloom twice, to glowing stews stirred under starry skies, each recipe connected them to their Ethiopian roots and the magic of family. This is not just a story about cooking. It's a journey through flavor and feeling, of glowing spices, flying helpers, and the powerful bond between generations. So come, tie on your apron and follow the flicker of fireflies-because the garden is waiting, the mitad is warm, and the next magical dish is just a heartbeat away.

This fic is from Fate of the Wild Lands. I'm extremely embarrassed about it. It is outdated and no longer canon, and contains massive formatting errors that I can't be bothered fixing. Also, I haven't written any background context, so it might be quite confusing if you don't know the lore. Anyway here's a summary: Kes climbs to the summit of Mt. Elmeset where he meets Temendi the Firewolf. Temendi explains their backstory to Kes, and answers questions about the meaning of life.

Hello everyone, My name is Leielt Azanaw and I am here today to give you a collection of stories based on a true story. Starting from my childhood, till now. I am currently 22 years old, born and raised in Maryland, and I am Ethiopian. I want to start of by saying that writing is not my strong suit, however, if I am passionate enough about my work, I will put my all in. My stories in this book is a collection of heartbreaks, feeling lonely, depressed, hurt (emotionally, physically, mentally, and spiritually), and so many expressions that will make you say "wow that's crazy", or "wow I can relate to this in some way." My stories will also be filled with many different feelings that some can bare and some cannot because they are afraid to hear the truth of others and even themselves. If not, well we all know everyone goes through something. Sometimes they just want to be left alone and honestly that's not a great idea. ________________________________________________ My whole life I've been told to do this and that and never was I asked about how I felt about a certain situation or thing. Growing up in an African home, a lot happens. Sometimes more than we know it because African parents are quick to assume horrible things and barely the good things. There is this saying, "you live and you learn," and indeed it is true. I believe that is true because starting from my early childhood till now, I lived through so many events that hurt me so much that I soon realized that I should just focus on what the lesson may be. So many adult figures in my life have told me "I am hard on you because I believe you can become your best self and do anything you set your mind to". I know some people don't like hearing those words all the time because they feel that they have heard it enough, but honestly, I don't think enough is enough. They are giving us a constant reminder that we need to work hard. Even though I'd be the one rolling my eyes and sighing the whole time *laughs*.

This poem contrasts beautiful speech with an empty mind. It shows how some speak with rich words, but lack depth in thought. It reminds us that true wisdom comes not from how we speak, but from how we think.

I live a sad life. Going through a bad childhood while getting bullied at school really messed up my mind. I have depression, maladaptive daydreaming, anxiety, bad socialization skills, and just overall a broken person. I just want to share my stories. I just want someone to share them with. I can't keep these thoughts and emotions caged up in my brain. It's not normal...
