Clara is officially retiring from international travel. After six miserable months in Paris trying to outrun the spectacular wreckage of her last relationship, all she wants is to catch the Eurostar back to London and wallow in peace. What she doesn't want is a delayed train, a chaotic departures lounge, or the infuriatingly calm stranger who takes the seat opposite hers. Enter Oscar. He's an architect who hates straight lines, possesses a devastatingly effortless smile, and is taking their travel purgatory far too well. While Clara relies on her well-oiled sarcasm to keep people at a safe distance, Oscar simply sits comfortably in the crossfire.
