Almost. Maybe this word was from the Underworld. Maybe Hades invented it, himself. It's the evilest word existing. So close to something...yet, still out of reach. Just one more step... This is the story of Orpheus and Eurydice as told in Anaïs Mitchell's album "Hadestown" and stage adaptation. In depression era New Orleans, young Orpheus and Eurydice fall in love but Eurydice dreams of a better life than the poverty she grew up in, which Orpheus cannot give her. When Eurydice is lured away to the eponymous "Hadestown" with promises of comfort and security, Orpheus sets out to get her back.

Eurydice and Orpheus reincarnate, and when they're finally at their happiest, the end nears. Not just for them, but everyone. Eurydice and Orpheus have the same fate, all over again, just this time, a bit more modern

Based on ancient mythology, mostly of Greek/Roman origin. First one was originally a Bengali poem of mine, written in my late teens, about Orpheus and his lady love Eurydice. Not necessarily I'll follow the original myth. Deviate and improvise, modern take or even twisted version, all of them you can expect here.

High school is not a welcoming place if you have braces and unsettling violet eyes. Eurydice Arden, sixteen years old, knows this all too well, constantly enduring bullying and injustice from her classmates. If she were a normal teenager, she would probably vent her frustrations with a tub of ice cream and a tear-jerking movie, but the strange affinity Eurydice has with the dead makes her anything but normal. One day, after yet another humiliation, she accidentally resurrects an attractive young man with an old-fashioned name, Orpheus, who has been dead for almost fifty years. But once the damage is done, why not try to take advantage of the situation? And what if a group of bullies wasn't the biggest threat Eurydice and Orpheus, along with their unexpected allies, had to face?

The myth of Orpheus and Eurydice but with Ranboo and Tubbo! Mostly based on the musical Hadestown, but I've put my own spin on it, especially with the reasoning for Ranboo to go to the Underworld. Ranboo and Tubbo's relationship is platonic, and is not meant to be romantic in any way. I love this myth so much and I think the characters fit so well so I hope you guys enjoy!!

Orpheus sings the melody, but Hades doesn't take the melody well. P.S. People who have Emetophobia and you can't read about vomit, I will put a warning in before the chapter with vomit in it. This gets (in my eyes) graphic. There is quite a bit of blood, and Orpheus whump. I DON'T OWN HADESTOWN, Anaïs Mitchell owns all the characters, songs, everything. I wrote the plot and that's it.
