Ashe Argentum has a lot on her shoulders. For one, a few months ago, she found out that she was the reincarnation of Orpheus, the legendary musician from Ancient Greek myths, and she's destined to be with the reincarnation of Eurydice, who is very near. For two, she's currently on a undercover quest for her father, Hades, who has recently revealed that he has two secret children living in a military school. And for three, she's balancing all this with her new witchcraft lessons from the goddess Hecate. Everything flips upside down when her friends from Camp--Percy, Annabeth, Grover, and Thalia--crash the party. Turns out, they were also on the lookout for her two half-siblings, though they thankfully don't know their parentage. When the goddess Artemis is kidnapped by Atlas, she must venture to Mount Tamalpais to find and rescue her. But how will she manage her newfound sister along everything else?

"Please don't let this be my fate..." This is my modern adaptation of Orpheus & Eurydice told from Eurydice's perspective. The short story was a school assessment piece (year 9), but I'm actually really proud of it. !!warning!! This story does not have a happy ending, sorry to those looking for one. Written for 2024 ONC, prompts used: 42, 2 An adventure and platonic retelling of the myth of Eurydice and Orpheus Eurydice seems to have all she wants: A disciplined routine. An awkward friendship with her annoying acquaintance Orpheus. Several essay awards under her belt, a bestselling non-fiction book she wrote at the age of eighteen and a stable paying job at a prestigious journalist agency, even though she's a fresh college graduate. The catch? She's going to die in six days. When Hades gives her the chance to win her life back by tracking his dog down for him, Eurydice jumps at the chance and embarks on a journey that leads her to questioning her moral stances and attitude on life Will she be able to make it back in time and retrieve her soul? A retelling of Orpheus and Eurydice, not all correct, some parts of the myth I could find.

Based on ancient mythology, mostly of Greek/Roman origin. First one was originally a Bengali poem of mine, written in my late teens, about Orpheus and his lady love Eurydice. Not necessarily I'll follow the original myth. Deviate and improvise, modern take or even twisted version, all of them you can expect here.

Deep in the recesses of the Underworld, Eurydice, muse and lover of great poet Orpheus, bears a daughter who wields the likeness of her father's gifts. In an act of pity, the queen of the underworld, Persephone, calls upon her brother Hephaestus to grant the young girl access to the living world under the condition that she become an apprentice to the goddess of vegetation herself.
