Based during World War One. The year was 1916 and Dan Howell had been sent off to the British countryside due to the war at the age of 16. Leaving behind his mother and friends, Dan doesn't take much of a liking to the unfamiliar way of living he has to become accustomed to. September 1939. Before the Second World War starts, fourteen-year-old Sybil Vaughn is sent away on one of the first transports out of the city. Despite the apparent importance of it all, Sybil believes she'll be back home in a week and doesn't even say goodbye to her Mum. On arrival in the country, Sybil is billeted with the Goodwin's, a couple in search of some help on their family farm. Its a fictional WW2 story which switches from the different POV of different people its goes from the Point of views of two families that get torn apart by very different problems...

A bomb crashes down
