A little girl goes of into the country to be an evacuee with her two twin sisters. She finds a lovely boy And what a journey it was. What will there home be like? Will the family be nice? Or will they be rude? Will her and the boy see each other again?

September 1939. Before the Second World War starts, fourteen-year-old Sybil Vaughn is sent away on one of the first transports out of the city.
