Ephemeral [E·phem·er·al] Adjective - Lasting for a very short time | Evanescent, fading, an impermanence that suggests the inevitability of an ending. In this world, there have always been harsh lines between different ideas, different people. Good, evil, girl, boy, new, old, truth, lies. How are we meant to cope when somebody waltzes in on the dancing feet of a princess with the gate of a prince? What is to come when good and evil both exist in their purest forms in one person? Crowned first born child of Queen Rapunzel and King Townsend, Rya, also known as Rio, has always considered herself a bit odd. For one thing, she's not just a princess, but a prince as well. He didn't ask to be like this. It just sort of happened. While his kingdom hasn't had a hard time accepting this about him, it has had a bit of trouble as of late. Just like her parents, Rya is sent for to attend the School for Good, Enlightenment and Enchantment, alongside her brother Ely. However, unlike Ely, Rio has also been sent for by the school for Evil Edification and the Provocation of Sin. When he finds himself able to walk the line between pure good and pure evil, Rio begins to uncover new information about his past and creation that he never asked, or wanted, to learn. "Mom always did call my identity ephemeral. I guess she was right..."

Evelyn Sader grew up in the honest village of Gavaldon, shielded from the dangers of the Endless Woods. She was happy, living with her sister Vanessa and her brother August. But when she is swept off her feet by Schoolmaster Rafal, all she holds dear is flipped. Suddenly, she finds comfort in only one person. Only he can help her. But he will be her downfall. I don't own any of the characters, all rights go to Soman Chainani. Also, this contains spoilers from across the series, so if you haven't read all the books, maybe don't read this. You have been warned!
