I open my eyes waiting to be dead and at those white, pearly gates. I look around, and I find the total opposite. There's grungy streets, and I can barely see any stars in the sky. "I must be in Hell," I mutter to myself. "Close, but no. You're in the city," I hear an unknown voice coming from the shadows. I should be chilled to the bone right now, but I'm not; they told me about this. My name is Charles Harrison. I worked for an underground scientist as an assistant- if that's even what you call what I did. My true aspiration was to become a poet, or some type of writer! Anything that had to do with the arts had me fascinated. My boss, Dr. Klausen, had different plans for me, and that's where my story begins. I never knew the things I would face because of my boss, and I don't even think he fully trusted his plan. I can never go back home or to Anne Marie, but I'm starting to think that's not too bad...
