AU. For the Third Quarter Quell, the Capitol decrees that those who aged out of the reaping since the previous Hunger Games will be thrown back into the pool-with no volunteers allowed. When her sister and her best friend are chosen, Katniss is left behind. Unable to protect the people she loves with a bow or a sacrifice of her own, Katniss must learn that sometimes surviving means trusting others to carry the burden-and finding the courage to keep living herself.

When Katniss Everdeen returns home from the Capitol after the rebellion she finds that coping and grieving is very difficult, and with nobody to help her she is in danger wasting away alone. When Peeta returns home Katniss realizes that for both herself and Peeta she needs to work on recovering and look towards the future rather than the past. As they help each other mourn their losses and recover lost memories, they find that what they needed all along was each other. As Katniss life finally seems to light up, to become better. When she's finally happy, of course something bad was going to happen. When a boy and a girl meets, there's sometimes a connection and sparks between them and they want to be together, sometimes forever. Katniss always felt out of place in her town, in her life, she's always felt like her life isn't hers. Everything changes when she meets a certain boy, a certain Peeta Mellark, he changes all her believes with the blink of his beautiful eyes, and turns her whole life upside down, maybe her life could be her life, and maybe it won't feel like someone else's life.

Peeta Mellark just spent the last three months learning to speak Spanish. The certificate in his hand says he's ready to carry out a conversation but, is he ready to speak to the gorgeous shop-owner across the street?

When Prim gets suspended at school, Katniss volunteers to take the punishment for her. Principle Snow has something else in mind for her though - detention with the drama club. Everyday at lunch and after school, she'll have to help them prepare for the next musical. The only thing that gets her through the days? That boy Peeta Mellark, who paints the sets and bakes everyone cookies because he's - nice? Kind? Katniss doesn't know what to do with him, and Peeta doesn't know what to do without her.

After the the war and surviving two games, Katniss finds herself unable to feel the right things, or make the right choices. What happens as Katniss becomes more and more back to her "normal" self? Will she be able to move on? Will she and Peeta be able to find each other once more? Peeta has survived a war, two games, and a hijacking. The trauma of this leads him to a place where he has lost himself. Not only is this a problem, but katniss has gotten worse and worse since returning to 12. Can Peeta help himself and save katniss? Can Peeta once again become the boy with the bread? (Takes place after MJ but before epilogue. This story will change POV's from Katniss to Peeta)

Ever wondered what happened to Katniss and Peeta once they returned to 12? Well, I'm going to put my spin on what I think would've happened as their relationship progressed - the ups and downs, the laughs and cries... and of course Haymitch will be there too :) Hopefully you'll like my first fanfic!
