Katniss is depressed after Prim's death, but what if Katniss gives Gale one last chance to take her heart? What would happen if they decide to live out in the woods together just like they planned to 2 years ago?

Gale Hawthorne hasn't really been doing much since Katniss won the rebellion and chose Peeta. He's no longer bitter. What use is anything there? But they stir anyways, every day. Gale decides to finally convince himself once and for all reasons why he's not supposed to end up with Katniss. He also becomes determined to find someone else to love. Hope remains fickle, but he places his heart in its trust, and begins the trek.

Peeta was trapped in the Capitol. She needed someone to rely on. Sometimes when grieving the loss of one, you find another.
