Reality is based on perception - very rarely does it reflect the actual state of things. Emira was a businesswoman working at Kim & Kim Enterprises in London, embarking on an ordinary business trip to Shanghai, China. Jimin was an Army veteran, haunted by PTSD after his brief deployment to Afghanistan. But that wasn't reality - hardly partial truth. Emira's reality became an 100k Enemies-to-Lovers trope, and it was nothing like she thought it would be. Jimin's reality became a nightmare, and it was worse than he ever imagined.
