Eviana Rose Beaumont never asked to be the other princess of Auradon. While her perfect older brother Ben was destined for the crown, Eviana lived in the soft shadows of her mother's warm smile and her father's towering expectations. But Eviana was nothing like the golden child the kingdom wanted-she was curious about the Isle, endlessly fascinated by old stories of villains, and secretly obsessed with understanding the darkness everyone else feared.
She had always watched the VKs from afar...
...especially Carlos De Vil.
When Mal returns to the Isle and chaos begins to ripple across Auradon, Eviana decides she won't sit safely in the castle anymore. She sneaks onto the mission with Jay, Evie, and Carlos-much to everyone's surprise, especially Carlos, who didn't expect the princess with the soft honey eyes to jump into danger without hesitation.
On the Isle, Eviana discovers that her charm works very differently in a place built on fear. She sees the broken pieces of the VK world that Auradon tries to ignore, and something inside her changes. She becomes braver. Wilder. A little rebellious.
And Carlos...
...Carlos starts seeing her differently too.
Eviana is captivated by his dorky sweetness, his fear of dogs, his heart that's so much kinder than any villain pedigree. And Carlos is drawn to the princess who isn't afraid to get mud on her boots, talk back to Uma, or stand beside him even when everything is falling apart.
But with Uma's revenge rising, Mal running from her crown, and the Isle shaking with new danger, Eviana has to figure out who she is:
A perfect Auradon princess? A girl who loves the thrill of the Isle? Or someone entirely new-someone who bridges both worlds?
With magic stirring, loyalties tested, and her growing feelings for Carlos making her heart flip, Eviana must choose what kind of legacy she wants to create...
...and who she wants standing next to her when the kingdom's future is on the line.
