The bruises on Tracy Freeland's arms are fading, the door to her bedroom has been taken off its hinges, and the chaotic swirl of drugs, stolen clothes, and dangerous older boys has ground to a sudden, suffocating halt. Evie is gone- sent away to a place Tracy can't reach- and the silence left behind is deafening.
Now here comes the hangover.
Stranded in the wreckage of her own choices, Tracy has to navigate a school where everyone looks at her like a ticking time bomb, and a home where her mother's love is mixed with a desperate, heartbreaking fear.
But the hardest part isn't earning back her family's trust or surviving the isolation. It's the terrifying realization that the innocent girl Tracy used to be is dead... and she has no idea who is she after Evie.
