He felt a rush of adrenaline and my vision twisted, and he saw his father running  towards me.     He felt like he'd been punched.     'Dad...' a ghost of a whisper left his lips.     I remember.     He didn't love him. No one did.     He saw the villagers, saw their smiles. He stumbled backwards, his eyes wide with fear.    How could they smile at him, after everything they'd done? After they left him in a place of torment and fear? After they broke his heart into too many pieces, after they killed the small boy that was me, and created the love, the dark hate that consumes me?    His heart healed.    But it set wrong. Set in an AU where Hicca (Female Hiccup) was abandoned by Stoick shortly after the raid where Valka was taken, only to be found by Drago's army and for her to be taken in as his daughter, to grow to have no memory of the place that was once her home. Daughter Of The Armada shows Hicca's story from the age of 15 after being abandoned, More details to be added later into concept stage... Temporary cover by Diana G J (Deviantart: https://www.deviantart.com/dianagj/ ) A/N: Daughter Of The Armada uses a female Hiccup OC as I believe it would better suit it with the change in characters regularly present (to be revealed at a later point, obviously) as well as being out of the authors own preference over normal Hiccup for this concept (I've trialed with both, this one seems to work best, it's not just for the extra tags, I swear) and as a nod to the fanfic which inspired this concept.
