I wrote this story with elements borrowed from Edgar Alan Poe's writing style, for school. This short story was written at a very low point in my life but I hope that some part of it resonates with you or leaves you puzzled. Keep in mind that despite its dark theme, this story was written with hope in mind, which plays a very important role in the life of our protagonist.

alex a commoner lived a happy life with his mother and his older sister that's just 2 years older than him in a small village.but one day monsters attacked his village the .monsters killed his mother.seeing the lifeless body of his mother Alex awoken his power's as a hero.the Knight's saw Alex awakening his power and didn't hesitate to take him and his sister inside the palace.alex trained with the goal in mind to kill every single evil monster's in the world. so of course he trained,the path of a hero was not easy but Alex managed to overcome it,after arriving in the demon king's palace Alex and his party managed to defeat the demon king.after that Alex and his party went back to the palace expecting a warm welcome from his sister.but Alex didn't receive a warm welcome instead what he received was the cold body of his sister lying before him the whole kingdom labeled him as a demon and proceeded with his execution.with everyone betraying him with his last breath alex swore to come back for revenge... *warning*(gore) (not your typical mc???)
