Trong hàng nghìn năm, ba mặt trăng ấy chưa từng đứng thẳng hàng, và nhờ đó thế giới được giữ trong sự cân bằng mong manh. Nhưng sâu dưới lòng đất tồn tại hai mươi mốt thực thể cổ đại sinh ra từ hỗn mang. Chúng không phải sinh vật bằng thịt và máu mà là hiện thân của sự hủy diệt. Trong những bản kinh cổ, chúng được gọi là Hai Mươi Mốt Lãnh Chúa Hủy Diệt. Để ngăn chặn chúng, mười ba tạo tác thiêng liêng đã được rèn nên từ ánh sáng của ba mặt trăng và trao cho những người bảo hộ đầu tiên của thế giới. Một cuộc chiến khủng khiếp đã diễn ra, làm sụp đổ núi non, thiêu rụi rừng cổ và xóa sổ nhiều thành phố khỏi lịch sử.
