The book, Simplified Integrated Project Controls, provides clear guidelines on "how" to manage Project Controls based on Earned Value Management Principles. Accredited by ECSA, the Engineering Council of South Africa, the aim of this methodology is to give the reader the necessary understanding and knowledge of how to set up a simple project, as well as a multi-discipline complex project correctly, which is one of the main reasons for project control failure. It has been found that the methodology in this book, if applied correctly, enhances the performance of most of the project management and control software on the market. The book describes the guidelines for all the necessary Earned Value Management processes, complete with guidelines for integrated baseline reviews, detailed scheduling, cost, as well as dashboard reporting. It also clarifies how to assess progress, measure performance, and to establish the true status of a project, and how to manage engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) risks at control account level from the very early phases of the project. This book enables the reader to provide answers to the three most fundamental project control questions of project controls, at each reporting cycle: • What is the monetary value of the work planned? • What is the monetary value of the work earned? • What are the actual costs of the work accomplished? In Summary, this book provides the "how to...": • Base projects on an Integrated Work Breakdown Structure. • Identify all the Control Accounts that will ensure the success of the project objectives. • Test the authenticity of a Master Schedule based on the IWBS's Control Accounts. • Develop and agree on a Performance Measurement Baseline, i.e. time-phased S-curves. • Conduct Integrated Baseline Reviews. • Objectively and accurately measure Project Performance (technical and progress performance). • Manage thresholds. • Deliver Progress, Performance, and Status Reports.

It's a bit harder than I thought to find a story where the heroes have to deal with long term consequences. Most stories seem to like; short choices, short consequences, and everyone is left wondering what will happen years later. It isn't as realistic to have a story just, END. That would feel too "staged." Every action has an equal and opposite reaction. So what about this story is so different from the others? Well in this book, now, this SERIES, I decided to focus on how the past is impacting the present. It could be big decisions like going to war or not, or it could be small, like simply forgetting to tell your friend thanks every now and then. This is a story that takes place after my main series, one that I am still working on :} It is kind of a finale clincher, but at the same time, it is only the next chapter, the next stage one might call it. However, I made sure to write this in a way so that you have to pay attention to find out how things connect. All in all, this is a story, a series, about dealing with the mistakes of the past. Just about everyone has made a mistake that comes to affect this book. This series of books. And THIS, is when their choices come around to haunt them. -Everyone's fav, EVM :} [1st in the: Descendants of Heroes, series. Right after the Bedrock Breakers trilogy] (book is finished, just transferring it from my journals to Wattpad -about February 2019)

Why Integrate the Scope, Schedule, Budget and Risks? (1) The three most fundamental project control questions are answered more accurately: (1.a) What is the monetary value of the work planned? (1.b) What is the monetary value of the work earned? (1.c) What are the actual costs for the work accomplished? NOTE - The answers are available during each reporting period.(2) To test the realism of the performance measurement baseline/S-curve.(3) The code of accounts is established at the lowest level of the integrated work breakdown structure. (4) Enables the team to conduct more accurate integrated baseline reviews. (5) Enables the project's integrated performance measurement baseline.(6) Assess progress, measure technical and cost performance more accurately. (7) Delivers more accurate cost/schedule performance indexes. (8) Successful solution for team members working in silos.
