To this day, I do not know why one of my best friends at the time back-stabbed me, then denied doing it. I was taken aback by the fact that she was pretending to be my friend and mistreating me. It was heartbreaking. I never got closure.

Abigail Lockhart's heart goes haywire when her ex-best friend and first love comes back into town. She attempts to evade his advances, her heart failing to be kept intact. Her heart is willing to forgive him but her mind continues to remind her he can break her heart yet again. Liam Smith tries to win back Abby's love, or at least her friendship, when he moves back home. When Liam moves back into his childhood home it brings back memories he's trying to forget, and is putting the feelings of guilt from lying to Abby back into his heart. Being blind to each others never ending love, will Liam succeed in winning Abby's heart or will his attempts continue to fail? Will he lose her forever or will he gain a relationship with his old love. (Short story)
