When an Exemplar dies, he must pass on the mantle through a ritual; if he fails to pass it onto a successor, the god shall choose another chosen. Davian Vas, half Fire Elf - half Wood Elf, son of an accomplished father and a legendary mother, finds himself compelled to follow tradition.
