Her world is one of rules, books, and careful observation rather than traditional childish playdates and mischief. But make no mistake: Nicole is endlessly curious, knowledgeable, and almost frighteningly precise. She has few, if any, friends, and she feels comfortable in her own company - a quiet little freak, fully aware of how dif erent she is. When Pennywise turns his attention to her, she has no choice but to step out of her solitary world. She joins the rest of the Losers' Club, approaching every strange and terrifying encounter with reason, always trying to observe, classify, and understand what she sees. At first, no one takes her seriously, mainly because of her age. Yet, despite her skepticism and scientific lens, the reality of Pennywise - the grotesque, shapeshifting horror that lurks in Derry - cannot be denied. Nicole, just like the rest of the Losers, comes to realize that some things in the world simply cannot be explained.
