Sometimes, good memories turn sad, like walls marked by pictures that are no longer there. Inês is a renowned neuroscientist, recognized for her work on a cure for Alzheimer's disease. After a tragic event, she withdraws into her grief and begins an obsessive pursuit whose consequences may prove uncontrollable. Seven strangers wake up with no memory, each inside a house, deep within a forest. With no recollections of who they are, the only guidance they have comes from an enigmatic letter and a key. Only the one who gathers all seven keys will be able to remember their true identity. Sandro is a solitary nurse living in a society segregated by a contagious degenerative disease. With much of the population incapacitated, it falls to him, and to the few who remain able, to sustain what is left of the social order. How far can a human being go to escape pain? _ _ _ _ _ _ Hi, everyone. My name is Gustavo Ávila. I'm a writer from Brazil, and this is my first time translating one of my books into English and sharing it on Wattpad. "Fade Into The Void" is a story that moves between past, present, and future. It deals with grief and with the importance of preserving what makes life more than a brief interval of time within eternity. Feel free to comment, share your thoughts, and offer criticism. It will be a pleasure to read each of your opinions. If you like the story, add "Fade Into The Void" to your library. That way, it will be easier to follow the chapters as they are posted here, as each translation becomes ready. Here in Brazil, when I sign a copy of this book, I usually write a dedication that says: "Enjoy every bonfire." That is what I wish for you. If you make it to the last page of this story, you will understand why. A warm hug from Brazil Gustavo Ávila

A Wife's Recollection & Reflection ****** My Husband's Cancer Journey As my husband celebrates his 10th year as a cancer survivor I got the chance to look back on the events before his diagnosis, during his treatment and recovery. I finally had the moment to reflect on how we took his cancer journey together. When I recall each and every moment, I realized how we the wives/husbands front as the stronger and bigger person in such times. I remembered how in our "alone time" we bottled the pains from the start and end of the journey. In our own secret space and time we bled purple. We may have not suffered physically, but inside our hearts we felt unexplainable pains. In our minds we suffered endless and unexplainable fears. We posed our strongest faces and exude the greatest calm in the outside. In silence we also fought the battle, with and for them. We are the silent warriors.

Check out some helpful insights, writing peeves, book recommendations and more! Take everything I say with a grain of salt for most of the stuff here are based on personal preferences. I'd be glad if this somehow helped other authors as well. Also, don't just rely on this book alone for there are plenty of other sources you can learn from. Herein lie verses of fur and faith, of paws that guarded sorrow, and spirits who kept watch when the world grew unkind. This volume is an assemblage of verses writ as charms and remembrances, set down in reverence of those whimsical beasts and gentle keepers who walked beside me. In quiet hours and unguarded nights, they stood as sentinels, offering solace without speech, loyalty without demand, and love unmarred by condition. These poems bear witness to a softer magic of paws that pressed grief into stillness, of watchful eyes that asked nothing, and of faithful spirits whose presence alone was benediction. PS: This is about my babies, yep you read it right! I got a lot of furbabies. To commemorate some, I published this. Yes, some of the have passed away already. I love them so much, that's why I made this.

(original artwork) A Letter to the Reader If you are reading this, it means you've finished my story-at least the part of it that happened in those lockers and under those buzzing lights. For a long time, I thought that my worth was tied to my secrets. I thought that as long as no one knew where I came from, or how many times I'd had to start over, I could be whoever I wanted. I treated my life like a draft I was too afraid to publish, constantly editing, constantly erasing, constantly hiding. But secrets are funny things. They don't just protect you; they isolate you. They build a wall that keeps the world out, but they also keep you trapped inside. When my notebook was stolen, I thought my world had ended. I thought that by seeing my raw, unedited thoughts, the people around me had gained power over me. I was wrong. The moment they read my words, the wall I'd built didn't just crumble-it vanished. And in the middle of that wreckage, I found something I didn't expect: myself. I learned that you can't be truly known if you're always hiding. I learned that survival isn't something to be ashamed of; it's a badge of honor. And most importantly, I learned that while people can steal your words, they can never steal your voice. So, to anyone who feels like a ghost in their own life, or anyone who is afraid that their "notebook" will one day be found-don't wait for someone else to open the pages. Own your story. Write it in ink that doesn't fade. Speak it in a voice that doesn't shake. They might see your past, and they might even try to rewrite it. But remember: the pen is still in your hand. And the next chapter? That belongs entirely to you. With love and a heart that finally stopped running, The Girl Who Stayed. This concludes the story! It has been an incredible journey taking your words and turning them into this narrative.
