Diana and Ben are forced to work together to try to escape the murderous doctors - until she discovers Ben might not be the victim he makes himself out to be. The only person Diana can trust is herself, and if she fails, her eyes won't give her another nine lives. After the apocalypse, humanity began living within huge defensive strongholds to survive. New Aetherra is the only empire-sized city in the east surrounded by sturdy walls and covered by human-made atmospheric barrier. It was built and is governed under three bodies-the Government, the Novu Babel, and the Hunter Force-soldiers trained for battle against unknown creatures outside the city. Ian Velen, a troublesome weak Beta, was hated by the people around him including his own family. He only desired to go outside the city despite the dangers. His Alpha brothers loathed him thinking that he was the product of their mother's sin, and his father couldn't imagine him as his own. Despite his weak physique, he managed to become a Hunter and even had the nerve to confess and propose a marriage to his crush, Axel Krestel, the commander of an independent elite division, in front of so many people. The commander's disgust was obvious, and Ian had an idea that his actions stemmed from his crazy desperation to escape the city. He knew his background had more to it than what was seen outside. Taking an unknown drug on schedule to stabilize this unknown hunger to escape the city was just one part of it. But then an incident occurred. He missed his scheduled dose. His mother warned him that his life would be in danger.

After many years, Dr. Neo Periwinkle Cortex is finally able to create his own army of mutants. But he has yet to realize that he will create his own worst enemy. (Any original characters belong to me, of course. I may create a list describing them in the future.)

Mary is the daughter of Matthias, the girlfriend of Woods, and the best friend of Sam. She is forced on this path when her father sees a video of Sam, Woods and herself in a Syntec Lab together. Mary is scared and wants to find answers.

Peace. Peace is subjective. If one were to truly think about it, peace is not possible without the suppression of something. While this sounds bad on the surface, there is a reasonable justification for such a thought. The world rightfully chose to suppress the wrongful urges within us because we knew that it would bring us peace. The past is simply a reminder of the repressed darkness within, and, with such erased from our minds, we have no presumptions made towards one another; we are in peace. When those come against our peaceful ways, they too must be suppressed. But who decides what is darkness and what is not? Who decides what should be suppressed?

Grief does a lot of funny things, like turn an unsuspecting park into a shrine. Or convincing oneself that taking unknown medication is a good idea. It's almost easy for Max to pretend that Damien's not just a hallucination. (This is a novella set between Fire & Ice and the sequel to it)

By unfortunate events you were found and now bound to him. Because of his wild and crazy addiction, he didn't open your past wound, but gave you a new one instead. But as you treaded at the icy surface, someone from the heavens were watching over you. The time you had spent with the doctor somehow bloomed but it ended in cruelty. Finding your self once more, you run as far as you could to keep your distance from the icy fortress and for 400 years, you found each other again. How will you end your story? Will you open your heart and watch it bleed again? Or let time and fate to decide on which the cogwheel have already bounded an ending?
