Jael Tanner has never been a normal girl. Since she was little people have always been afraid of her, her looks have always attracted the wrong kinds of attention from men and she's been forced to protect herself the only way she can: by being a badass. Armed with a bad attitude, a powerful right hook and a temper that matches the flames of her hair, Jael gets through life pretty okay, considering the circumstances. Lily is perfect: sweet, kind, smart, beautiful, and best of all, safe. She has a certain charisma that pulls people in and makes them feel at ease. It's a good act and everyone else buys into it. But Jael knows that Lily isn't the innocent little flower she pretends to be. Then one night, after her friend ditches her at a club, Jael is almost killed in an alley and saved by a man who calls himself Cain. He's a major asshole and is seemingly unfeeling but he swears to help her unlock powers she never knew she had and protect her at all costs. Only problem? One day he's going to kill her. The world isn't what Jael thought it was and neither is she. Suddenly, everything wants her dead: Lily, the strange men with no faces, like the one who tried to kill her. Even Cain.

Basically that and me explaining why these lyrics make me feel this way.

After the death of her best friends father, Carina finds her heart heavy with grief but determination within her is present as she craves to move on. A few days after the burial, strange things being to happen to Carina, scaring her and causing others to question her sanity. Not sure of who to trust anymore, paranoia begins to creep upon her.
