Destiny, a girl of only thirteen, has to move to Australia in order to stay safe from the SRA. As time goes on, she starts to learn who (or what) she really is. A choice must be made, to take on the responsibility of being a Shader leader, or deny her fate as her mother did. Destiny must face the challenges of being a Shader, but what is she supposed to do exactly? Will she lead her followers to victory or fail and leave the whole fate of the human race in the claws of the SRA?
