'Can you Write it?' Is a book full of writing challenges ranging from beginner to expert writers, in various styles and formats. I was VERY fortunate to receive a copy for my birthday, and have decided to post each writing challenge I complete as I do them. Enjoy and if a challenge sparks your interest, feel free to comment your own work on it. :) Note: I will not be going in order of the book. I will be picking the challenge that intrigues me the most.

--DISCLAIMER-- PLEASE DO *NOT* copy or tweak these essays for your homework. I promise plagiarism will not get you anywhere in life. I post my formal writings here as a method to document my writing progress and see how I have improved over the years of my high school career. I share these because I feel like you can join me on my journey with developing a writing style as well as to some reference with essay formatting/prompts. This is in no way a source for you to copy or quote my work as I cannot guarantee that everything written in my essays are 100% credible. These essays are also high school-level essays and are not meant for universities. However, they may be referenced for research purposes. Thank you. Now we can delve into 4 years (I didn't write essays in gr.8 lol) of English and Social Studies Homework. Grade 9 Grade 10

Firstly we have to understand that the scripture isn't the word of God, but inside the scriptures we can find the word of God, hence there is need to study the scriptures and not to read it, because while we study, we become students of a Teacher, study is coined from the word, Student. Therefore we make the HolySpirit our teacher and he leads us into truth, I made a duty to study the deep things of God, I would love you to join me in the travel and see God do wonders with us and in us Amen

Floating Away is a poignant tale about the life of a young man named Jason who reflects upon critical moments in his life after he's presented a unique opportunity to go back in time a precious few hours... But at what cost? Memories burst through his mind like a flood, reminding him of some of the most joyful times in his life. As the course of time twists on through his mind, though, he eventually makes his way to a darker zone in his mind in which much darker memories reside; heartbreak, loneliness and emotional instability. Finally the memories tie into the present, in which Jason is faced with the most difficult decision of his life. Floating Away explores a few concepts common to most of humanity, but makes particular focus on emotionally impacting subjects like heartbreak, as well as abstract ideas like nostalgia. An attempt is made to convert abstract emotion and expressionless feeling into words and phrases; all while keeping an almost dreamlike air of melancholy floating in the atmosphere. This is an experimental piece, communicated primarily through a first-person expository narrative coupled with tangentially related poetry. That's the official preface that I've got thus far. If you continue reading, you'll engage the portion of the introduction that contains more specifics on how this is being written and how your input could have influence on it. Basically, at its current state, this entire piece is subject to change at any moment without warning; you have been warned (wait what?) Due to the fluid nature of the this story, your input could have large impact on how its written. I already have the general idea for how I want it to end (It's based on a dream I had), but as for how we get there is still flexible. I want to make this good, and not awkward or insincere, so if you find a portion that just doesn't work, let me know and I'll revise. Otherwise, all the general things like pacing and flow are easy to modify, so let me know! Thanks!

I've decided to start putting the essays that I've written for my Language Arts class onto Wattpad. I'll try to post every quarter's essay, and when I move up a grade I'll post those too.

I don't exactly know what this is. Some may call it a diary or a journal, but i think of it as a place to express my thoughts publicly. My life isn't as interesting as i view it, and i don't think you'll view it that way too. I'm a lonely person, i seek attention the least. Enjoy my glorious days! - Dareen

WARNING: This is an expository (explanatory) piece, going into details that may frighten or sicken individuals. Please read with caution. I wrote an essay about the methods of the death penalty, and I thought that I may as well post it somewhere where people might get to read it and see what they think of my formal writing. I hope this explains things better, and if you have any questions, feel free to ask.
