David Gallagher is the lead aerospace engineer of Project Venus, an international space mission funded by all major world governments to launch on January 1st, 2100. He's devoted his entire career to designing, testing, and building the spaceship that will take humanity to Venus. Three days before the scheduled launch in Cape Canaveral, Florida, something goes terribly wrong.
