And he thinks its ok because one day our parents will walk through our front door and tell him to get his life together but that will never happen. That’s because they were involved in a car accident about a year ago. Now you may be thinking how am I so okay with this, I act as if nothing happened. Well I don’t let my emotions get in the way of anything, I’m stronger than he is and I realize that our lives still will go on with or without them. It may help that I wasn’t in the car when it happened. He blames himself for the crash but he can’t. We live with our aunt Stephanie who (bless her soul) doesn’t know how to help us. But she has the biggest heart just like her sister and when she learned that the son in the other car survived and was having trouble she took custody of him as well. Yeah the crash didn’t just involve my family, it involved the Ryder family. It left their son Blake and my brother Noah the soul survivors. Blake’s been away a long time but my aunt says he’s gotten himself into some trouble. She thinks it’s because he doesn’t have a family that loves him. So this is the story of how my family adopted Blake Ryder and helped him and my brother fight their demons. And maybe somewhere along the way I feel in love with the boy who thought he could never love again. My names Sammi and ps my life sucks.
