One night a woman becomes a witness to a murder. She over hears it occurring when she was walking through the corridor of the cruise shop. After hearing the murder she retreats to her room to hide. She is awoken by police about a missing woman and she reports what she heard though once the killer realises there is a witness, she becomes the target.

This is a contemporary romance book set in a modern-day replica of New York City. The female lead, Nikki, struggles with Childhood trauma and does not feel worthy of achieving her dream to become a singer/songwriter and making waves in the music industry. The book features a wide range of themes in the music and technology industries, award shows, producers, boy bands, tech summits, and groundbreaking inventions. The main theme, however, Is Grant (the male lead and a mechanical engineering genius) fighting to break past Nikki's walls, which she has put up to protect herself after suffering numerous childhood traumas. Having come from different worlds, and seemingly heading in different paths, can these two millennials find a way to learn from each other. Can they let down their guards?
