~ Adding a new twist to the infamous series Divergent by Veronica Roth ~ When Evelyn Johnson, mother of Tobias Eaton and wife of Marcus Eaton, fakes her death in order to escape the domestic abuse of her husband, she flees to the Factionless in hopes to find a haven. She's met with uncertainty and guardedness from the very people she used to support by providing basic survival supplies. Up until she reveals a secret that changes - and will change - everything: she's pregnant. She asks the Factionless for their help and they oblige out of sympathy once she recounts the trauma she went through. Astrid Johnson grows happily among the Factionless - she makes friends and feels included in the community, but her existence remains unknown to her father Marcus and her brother Tobias. Evelyn tells her their story and trains her from the earliest age to run, climb, fight, and also jump on and off moving trains. She raises Astrid with the idea that at age 16, she will join Dauntless and secretly look out for Tobias, whom Evelyn mostly lost sight of. Evelyn sees it as the only way to reconnect with her long-lost son, wishing he would join the boiling revolution among the Factionless. Except that obviously, things don't always go to plan. And infiltering the Dauntless under a false identity while under the terrifying scrutiny of Dauntless leaders is a near-suicide mission. ⚠️ TW: dark themes, such as domestic abuse, bullying, suicide, abusive authority figures, violence, drugs, sexual encounters... but graphic scenes are kept to a bare minimum to respect the tone of the original series ⚠️

A story about Evelyn Eaton/Johnson. In her horrible life she has to see her and Tobias getting abused by Marcus. She leaves Abnegation behind and fakes her death to join the Factionless. This book tells the tale of the original books, just combined into one, from the point of view of a new character, and her view of choosing day two years before Tris', with my own twist on parts. Meet Tiana Eaton, the twin sister of the beloved Tobias Eaton. She is strong and sassy, and always ready to fight for her friends and family. (Well except maybe for Marcus and sometimes Evelyn). She will rightfully attack her enemies or anyone who hurts here friends or family. This is a sort of diary of hers, following her life, mostly, from the age of 16- 20 A/N I only own the characters of Tiana and Kai ( you'll meet him later), all the rest belong rightfully to Veronica Roth. She made eye contact with his dark cold eyes. She picked up the knife and sliced her palm. Closing her eyes, she held her hand over the Dauntless coals. Only when she heard that satisfying sound of sizzling coals did she dare open her eyes. An uproar of cheers erupted from the Dauntless section, much like they had for every new initiate. Blaire once again let her mind wander until she heard the only other choice she cared about. 'Emma Oakwood,' Marcus called. Blaire watched eagerly as Emma cut her palm. 'Dauntless,' Marcus announced. The factionless born children, hate the factions as they have been born only to never be given hope for a brighter future. The children exposed purely to the evil of the factions creates a hatred from ignorance, this hatred led to children attacking Dauntless patrols leading to Dauntless becoming more violent. When the violence was growing too fast the adults created a system. It didn't work for everyone but for some it saved lives. But when I joined the system. It became a lot more interesting.
