She's met with uncertainty and a certain guardedness from the very people she used to support by providing goods and food. Up until she reveals a secret that changes - and will change - everything: she's pregnant. She asks the Factionless for their help and they oblige out of sympathy once she recounts the trauma she went through. Astrid Johnson grows happily among the Factionless - she makes friends and feels included in the community, but her existence remains unknown of her father Marcus and her brother Tobias. Evelyn tells her their story and trains her from the earliest age to run, climb, fight, and also jump on and off moving trains. She raises Astrid with the idea that at age 16, she will join Dauntless and secretly look out for Tobias, whom Evelyn mostly lost sight of. Evelyn sees it as the only way to reconnect with her long-lost son, wishing he would join the boiling revolution among the Factionless. Except that obviously, things don't always go to plan. And infiltering the Dauntless under a false identity while under the terrifying scrutiny of Dauntless leaders is a near-suicide mission. ⚠️ TW: dark themes, such as domestic abuse, bullying, suicide, abusive authority figures, violence, drugs, sexual encounters... but highly graphic scenes are kept to a bare minimum to respect the tone of the original series ⚠️

Isabelle (belle) and Rebecca (becca) must find their way through choosing day and initiation. Belle has to find a way to show the others that just because her mom and dad are dauntless leaders that she belongs her because of her strength and not because she has her ways in the government system. The day before dauntless choose what they will be in their factions four gets severely injured in an attach on the border of dauntless Belle has to find a way to get to her sister because she is the only one who is capable of figuring out who did this to their father. Belle also learns that she is not as normal as she thinks she is. Becca finds out the reason her parents told her to not stay in dauntless and that she is the only person in the world who can be able to create peace in city who's past is coming back to reck the future. Eric starts walking up to me. "Honey, we have to go." He says. "Why? What's going on?" I ask, confused. He looks around then back at me, "They're coming. We have to go, now. Its not safe for you." He grabs my arm and starts running. "Where we going to go?" I ask. He put his index finger up to his lips signaling me to be quiet. I nod signaling that I understand. His hand snaked down my back and moving to my side; but before he could we heard a noise. He quickly grabbed his gun and handed me one. He then motioned me behind. "Cover me." He whispers. I nod. I turn my back towards his back. Two men came from my side so I shot them. I heard two shots from behind me. Eric motions me in front of him. "I'm going in....cover me." He said. "No. I'm going." I whisper and he nod. "Here." I handed him my gun. I turn around and slide in. My logic is to be quick and not seen. I move against the wall as quiet as possible. A man looks over where I was and I rolled under a white desk. I peaked over and see Eric. He nods and I stand up. "He----" A man yells before he could finish I kicked him in the stomach, punched him in the throat, and slammed him on the floor. "Stop!" A lady with blonde, short hair says. I look up and they had two men holding Eric. "I just can't let you do that." She starts walking up to me then kneeled down in my face. "Divergent, huh?" I didn't answer. My focus is on Eric. She stood up and turned to a man then whispered something in his ear. He turned to me. "NO! STOP!" Eric yells, right before the man shoots and it hits me. -------------- What happens when Honey Prior chooses Dauntless and leaves her family? What happens when she discovers the secrets her parents tried to keep away from her? Now, that she chose Dauntless there's no turning back and now she has to survive there or be factionless.
