More than a novel this work is a life story of someone who lost his sight but then helped others regain theirs, and by that he acquired a level of connection that far surpasses physical eyesight. The point of this story is not just to entertain: it is meant to give young people bite-size morals that help them to battle against the negative and pervasive influences of today's world, it is not a bunch of pretty words with a happy endingh but a cohesive call to self-mastery and moral training which inspires all to see what can not be seen, to perceive the invisible when everybody else says it's impossible, to use our faculties of intelligence when others would gladly say it is hopeless... but only if we are willing to try... one more time...
