Fading Stories

A space for letters written without thinking. Some unfinished, some never meant to be sent. Sometimes the most meaningful connections are the ones that never ask for more than what they are.

Jenggala just graduated, finally done with all that Bachelor's grind. She thought life was gonna be chill, but nah... Kael-this dude from her org, five years older than her, still in college-keeps poppin' up in her head. They were close, like ride-or-die vibes, but dude's messy. Ghosts, says stuff that slaps her heart, then dips. And Jenggala? She's tryna stay solid, keep her feels on lockdown. But it's hard when he's everywhere... and other dudes start sliding in tryna catch her attention too. Basically, it's love, pain, waiting, and all the messy feels you can't ghost. And yeah... things about to get real, like full-on heartbreak city.

Laurel was always a social person. Always talking. Always making new friends. Never afraid of much. Always humming or singing. Firm and determinate. However, one day, someone came in and shot up her family. She survived. Only her. Technically. Everything else was gone. Her happiness. Her confidence. Everything that defined her. Have you ever had a dream where you're falling? That second of fear that burst through your body. Well that dream sums up my life, I am constantly falling... I'm not your usual problematic teenager. I have a family, two parents who are married, and friends. Then why does it feel so fake? Until he came...a light in the dark, ironically he was far from the light. _______________________________________________________

I suffer from extreme depression. I guess my angery brother and neglectful parents have a role to play in it, but I believe I'm simply too weak to endure any hardship that occurs in my life. I've been ignored, abused, and sexually assaulted but none of that means anything. The fact I'm too pathetic to do anything about it means everything though. It means that because I can't prevent myself from getting hurt, means that everyone is going to continue to make me fall deeper into this black hole known as depression. My friends say that I just need to find the right person in my life to fix me. But why would anyone want to help something so disgusting and burdened like me?

A small book filled with the emotions and thoughts floating in a teenagers head. (In no particular order) The book contains deep poems and small little quotes about life, the insecurities and problems revolving around one. The experiences a teenager acknowledges all throughout her life from being surrounded by fake people to people breaking trust and fading away to feeling the heaviness inside of not being enough...
