This is a reimagining of the 1985 film "Legend." William Hjortsberg wrote the original story. I have added new material that stays true to the original story. I do not own the characters except for two original characters that I have created. This is a screenplay. Yannik Inventi-Sumus was a simple man, he never needed much. Life consisted of a moderate-sized house in the countryside, a mystical forest reaching towards peaking mountains one way, and an old travellers path climbing over the hills to the other. That old road leads to the nearest civilization, as well as an ocean. Yannik was someone who could never turn a weary traveller away. So somehow he ended up being a father and figure to a diverse group of children.
