Aistel has always been a strange person. In a world full of supernatural beings and humans with powers, her lack of emotions is the strangest thing there is. Her gyft, as powers are called, is categorized as "UNKNOWN". The gyfted humans that exist naturally are terrified of her while the supernatural beings obsess over her. There is one thing many agree on, her wings are simply mesmerizing. But there is one problem, Aistel does not have wings nor can she make wings just appear. Tall and graceful as well as strangely beautiful, trouble seems to follow the emotionless Aistel. With two best-friends and new Fae friends, she will learn the truth of who and what she truly is.

It's getting worse. Not now. Why now? It's been dormant for weeks! Naomi thought, squeezing her hand repeatedly into a fist to try to suppress the faint tingling in the tips of her fingers. It was in vain, just as she knew it would be. Once the tingling started it wouldn't stop until the Shift was complete. Please stop, she thought helplessly. Not now, not today! She rounded the last corner and saw her house at the end of the street. The driveway was empty, which meant Naomi's father was still at work, as she knew he would be. The lawn was in desperate need of trimming, and Naomi nearly tripped over one of the garden gnomes decorating the yard that the long grass obscured from her view. The bronze numbers on the front blue door were fading and needed a polish, but Naomi paid them no mind. She dug her key out of her pocket, inserted it into the knob, and slammed the door safely shut behind her, panting like a dog. She barely had time to celebrate that she had made it home in time before the last bits of her feet were swallowed in the tingling feeling and the Shift began. ~~~ Cover by the incredibly talented @mahana258!!!

Jamie was a troubled teen with strange dreams and a twisted grip on reality. Since she could remember, there had always been things that only she could see: strange rainbow roads that called to her and extended into the shadows; dreams that seemed so real she wondered if her day to day life was actually "the dream"; and even more peculiar, a strange boy that seemed to be there one minute but not the next. Slightly schizophrenic they said, but as her mother would say, there was always a drug for that. But lately, Jamie's sense of reality has been getting more and more bizarre. I mean, visions aren't suppose to be corporeal and able to attack other people right? And even that boy that has been watching her is now talking to her.... and Jamie has just met a lot more people who either have her exact same condition (and are living in her mind) or maybe she wasn't as sick as everyone claimed her to be... Yannik Inventi-Sumus was a simple man, he never needed much. Life consisted of a moderate-sized house in the countryside, a mystical forest reaching towards peaking mountains one way, and an old travellers path climbing over the hills to the other. That old road leads to the nearest civilization, as well as an ocean. Yannik was someone who could never turn a weary traveller away. So somehow he ended up being a father and figure to a diverse group of children. (Basically a little fantasy AU of my own personal found family, and i decided to share this chaotic little story with others!)
