When a young hybrid goes off on a journey to find herself, she uncovers secrets of the land that could tear the façade of peace of Fotiá to shreds. Will this protagonist find out who she really is? Will she bring the creatures of the past back to Fotiá? Could she, possibly, restore peace back to the land after these questions are answered? Jamie was a troubled teen with strange dreams and a twisted grip on reality. Since she could remember, there had always been things that only she could see: strange rainbow roads that called to her and extended into the shadows; dreams that seemed so real she wondered if her day to day life was actually "the dream"; and even more peculiar, a strange boy that seemed to be there one minute but not the next. Slightly schizophrenic they said, but as her mother would say, there was always a drug for that. But lately, Jamie's sense of reality has been getting more and more bizarre. I mean, visions aren't suppose to be corporeal and able to attack other people right? And even that boy that has been watching her is now talking to her.... and Jamie has just met a lot more people who either have her exact same condition (and are living in her mind) or maybe she wasn't as sick as everyone claimed her to be... "If you think that the world is centred around the Births and Deaths of Kings, the marching of armies and the howling of winter winds against the walls, then you should walk behind my shield walls, talk to my veterans and learn the truth. They know it and they are ready to defend it with their swords". "Kings die, that's all the truth there is to it. Why should a King rule a kingdom when he is no better than the common soldier, why should his blood and his inheritance define his position in society? I fight to change this society because it is the Winter to my Summer and the Darkness in my light. I will give my life fighting for my ideas, that's everything you need to know..." I will also be posting this story on www.royalroadl.com from now on as well as on www.penana.com
