Good morning, I'm Kalliope Aoidós (yes, spelled like this: Καλλιόπη Ἀοιδός... pretty impressive, right?), Technical Account Manager at a company in... well, I'm sure you don't really need my CV for this. Let's try again. Hey, I'm Kalliope Aoidós, and I've got a little problem. Okay, more like an incurable, family-heritage problem. Technically, it's genetic-something my family has been conveniently passing down for centuries. One of my great-great-great-great-grandparents thought it was totally appropriate to insult his muse, calling her a "good-for-nothing" and a "sellout." How charming, right? Too bad that muse was THE Muse after whom I'm named. Apparently, she's not exactly the warm and fuzzy type. So why on earth do I have the honor of carrying the name of the one who cursed my entire family tree? Oh, that was my grandmother's brilliant idea. In a way, they "sacrificed" me to her by giving me her name, hoping it would change her mind about the curse. Spoiler alert: It didn't. So here I am, just like hundreds of my ancestors, stuck in the same lovely swamp. I'm a Book Jumper or, as my grandmother (who has a flair for dramatic epithets) likes to call me, a βιβλιοποδητής, which basically means "walker of books." And these are my stories. Or, more accurately, my delightful misadventures. Copyright 2025 AnemoneMarino. All Rights Reserved. In the sequel to Treachery Queen, the Seelie Court has declared its war on the world, and nothing will ever be the same. It has only been a week since Pasiphae of Eo entered a fake marriage alliance with the Seelie Crown Prince in a bid to forestall his mother's coming invasion on Medeis, Pasiphae's homeland. Now, those who were once enemies have disappeared into the shadows, while new contenders have clawed their way into power. Amidst the chaos, there is only one possible outcome that ends well for Medeis: Seth must have the Seelie throne, and Pasiphae takes it upon herself to ensure it. Meanwhile, Circe of Eo has turned diplomat. The Unseelie Queen knows that invasion is coming, and is desperate to snatch the Isles, where the humans make their home. To keep it from her grasp, the witches must conquer the land first, for the humans' own good. But the Isles has secrets of its own, and if Circe isn't careful, she may be swallowed by the rising tide. From a perilous journey into a country that kills all who enter, to a mission into the Seelie Court during its midnight sun, the two sisters will do anything to protect Medeis. Heads will roll, hearts will be broken, and if the world is to fall a second time, then so be it.

oh boy am i going to enjoy writing this lowercase intended cover art by @tommyficrecs on twitter ꧁꧂ Tommy is a spellcaster, a witch in other terms. He lives in a cottage alone on an island quite close to a village, separated from the townspeople by a small rift of water, bound by a single, rickety bridge. His kind is seen as a hindrance, and is heavily looked down upon, even hunted. People saw him as sinner, satanist or warlock. In truth, he was neither. His life takes a large U-turn when he meets a fae in the woods nearby his cottage, and said fae becomes his friend. The fae attempted various times to get the witch's full name, but the witch was too stubborn. They eventually bond, and become friends. One day Tommy finally trusts the fae with his real name. Either it was a mistake or a good decision, he can't decide.
