TW: descripitions of violence, death, psychological horror-ish Hellooo, I am writing 52 short stories in 52 weeks, I just changed the definition of 1 week of life to 1 week of writing (500 words a day is the minimum for it to count as a day of writing), so updates may be slow. Also, I read a short story of Edgar Allan Poe cuz he invented short stories and I wanted some inspiration and hell did I get some. My way of writing has completely changed to the better bc of him (I write in the characters voice and not the author voice anymore and my pacing is def better) and I hope to improve even more by writing these short stories. If there's a perfect world, with people who understand and sympathize with each other, Dew Coletyn wants to live in it. In her own, she can only go so far pretending that everyone has the right motives, or reasons, or incentives. She's not even sure if she's doing a good job of it, but she can certainly try. However, slipping yet another one of her little potions into the milkshake so that she doesn't die of boredom may have been the best decision she ever made, and she hadn't meant to be particularly noble or helpful to society in that specific instance.

When I seemed sure to fail all of their expectations, I had to make a choice, and took it...even though it plunged the entire mythical creature and spirit world into a panic trying to find me and my Fae friend and protector from birth, Thorn, before we ourselves were taken by the Dark Spirits.

A collection of short stories both old and new. Some are mysteries. Some are thrillers. Some are about love. Some are just old school assignments that I've gone back and edited. Not all of them are perfect or fantastic. But I've always wanted to share them with others. I'll be slowly going back through old short stories I've written and editing them. And I'm going to write some new short stories as well.

It's getting worse. Not now. Why now? It's been dormant for weeks! Naomi thought, squeezing her hand repeatedly into a fist to try to suppress the faint tingling in the tips of her fingers. It was in vain, just as she knew it would be. Once the tingling started it wouldn't stop until the Shift was complete. Please stop, she thought helplessly. Not now, not today! She rounded the last corner and saw her house at the end of the street. The driveway was empty, which meant Naomi's father was still at work, as she knew he would be. The lawn was in desperate need of trimming, and Naomi nearly tripped over one of the garden gnomes decorating the yard that the long grass obscured from her view. The bronze numbers on the front blue door were fading and needed a polish, but Naomi paid them no mind. She dug her key out of her pocket, inserted it into the knob, and slammed the door safely shut behind her, panting like a dog.
