Born under an eclipse, twin Princesses, Aurora and Aruna of the realm Dia have been blessed with the powers of the sun and the moon by the Goddess Danu. But not everyone in their world views this as a gift. When the eclipse aligns again on their eighteenth birthday, they asked by the Royal Council to complete the Mother Earth Ritual to prove their control over their powers. During the ritual, an unexpected ambush throws their lives into question as they are thrust into the strange realm of the Twisted Forest - a place they have only ever heard horror stories about. Destiny, fate, karma, whichever someone chooses to follow are irrelevant in his mind but the increasing coincidences Cade meets along his journey pile up until he has no choice but to ponder the idea. Trust is broken, dreams are twisted, reality is shattered, beliefs are questioned, nothing is as it seems and Cade is left wondering about the idea that started it all.

He ran through the forest, thin branches whipping his cheeks as he sprinted, closer and closer to the light. The lights grew brighter, a large building coming into view the closer he came. Jewel sat in her bedroom window, disdain splayed on her face. Fat tears welled in her eyes, hot as they rolled down her cheek. She exhaled shakily before lowering herself onto her knees in front of the window. She clasped her hand together and looked up to the sky, the stars making her brown skin glow in a way that only made her that much more beautiful. "With you as my witness, Ancestors, I'll escape this place by any means necessary, that or burn."
