For years, Calissa has dreamed of her curse breaking. But when it finally does, she was in no where prepared for what happened next. >< Years have passed since she has escaped the tower and all the weakness she had formed are now stuffed inside a locked cage inside her heart. Her mission now is to stand up against the strong evil and go against the tyrant king that has imprisoned them all in a lowly society. As a member of the Masked Bandits, she will do everything in her power to stop the tyrant king from finding the Eternal Dark-- the crystal that grants all evil to the master. With the mind and spirit of an animal, her talents shine above all others. So much, that she has been chosen by the masked man to act upon her desire of protection. By the masked man's unfailing trust around her neck and her instincts of honour and loyalty bound around her soul, she is determined to put an end to the kingdom's darkness. Every fairytale has that one person. The one doing all the work behind the scenes. The Fairy Godmother. Helping couples find their Happy Ever After. In many stories today that was Jayne. When she was 15 Jayne decided that she would put her own want for a Happy Ever After on the backburner. Instead, she would help her friends get theirs. 10 years later she has a successful event planning business and is content with her life. But then everything starts to fall apart and amidst the rubble of her life Jayne might just find her OTP.

Princess Shaina knows that she is cursed. If she falls in love before she's sixteen, she'll fall into an everlasting sleep that will last until her body decays -- because curses always come exactly true. Because of this, Shaina is never allowed near any boys, and they are taught to keep their respectful distance. That is, until a peasant boy begins seeing her, and her parents find out. When her parents lock her up away from the boy, Shaina decides to leave home, and books passage on the only ship leaving Ancare. It is a month after sailing that she finds out the roguish captain and interesting crew are not merchants at all, but corsairs who plan to sell her for gold in a slave-trading land. Shaina is surprised when she finds out when the captain and a few of the mates are Catholic, when they live such a life. Confused that these physically violent men are tame-minded, she begins to look into what it is they believe - and gets to know their captain because of it. Though he has cocky wisdom, performs stupendous feats, and has an unbeatable humor, Shaina finds herself growing to care for him as time passes. Though terrified she will fall asleep because of love, Shaina can't shake the feeling that this is something different, something that is worth risking her life for. All of that disappears when she reaches Balfizzar, and the Great Pirate Robber sells her into the King of Zulle's harem. With no wedding ceremony, she still isn't allowed to leave, but Shaina's spirits rally. Hiding the truth that she's a princess, Shaina attempts to escape many times. But she finds out there is more than just the curse standing between her and freedom. This curse has done more than make her scared of the future, but also of every day in between. But though she may fight it, love may still find her, and True Love... Is inescapable. :)

• a modern retelling of the frog king • There are no witches and curses, no princesses and golden balls, no frogs and magical transformations into princes. There's just life and its struggles. But sometimes that's enough. Lives change and it all begins with a rainbow, an iPhone, and being in the right place at the right time. After all, a knight in dented armour is better than no one at all, right? • this is a story I'm writing for a school paper, and I desperately need feedback (especially since English isn't my first language).
