They've lived seven years without their children. Their on again, off again marriage has finally worked itself out, and they feel as if things are starting to become a new kind of normal. Tim's days become numbered once he receives a deadly diagnosis. Living everyday like his last, his still unsettled past begins to taunt him. Bad habits begin to resurface, putting his family at risk. Faced with the future ahead, Tim writes a letter to leave behind once he's gone. He tells Faith every wrong thing he's done, putting his memory in jeopardy. Faith is left to pick up the pieces and try to preserve what's left of Tim's broken legacy. But can Faith handle this? Tim's responsibilities begin to pile up on Faith's shoulders, leaving her frustrated and exhausted. Faced with the press, Faith begins to cripple. How can she defend a husband that she herself found to blame?

Left with their choices, the two follow their own path, and Audrey hits the road, leaving to attend college in Memphis, as planned. Tim travels to Jacksonville, pursuing a law degree. Tim heads back home after he is finished with schooling, lead a successful yet lonely life, while Audrey is trapped in a relationship that is anything but healthy. Due to her mother's insisting, Audrey comes home to stay with her mother for a while, evidently running into Tim. So do all roads truly lead back home?

In a twist of fate, the chance encounter that set Tim and Faith in motion is derailed, changing their lives. Instead of becoming steadfast lovers, they're industry rivals, battling one another for a spot on the top of the chart. However, just as fate pulled them apart, it brings them together once more in ways some may even deem supernatural.
