Here is a oneshot that I have made, based on Far Cry 5, or more specifically, the events after the Collapse. The idea came from @simplegenius042 on Tumblr :) WARNING: This fanfiction will contain spoilers for Far Cry 5 (surprise surprise) and some dark themes, I guess? (Also I'II probably change the deputy's gender depending on story, or if it's preferred I CAN stick to a gender neutral deputy, but I think for every story it would just be repetitive)

Alternative reality: After refusing to arrest Joseph Seed, the deputy is considered a traitor by the federal marshall and is saved by Edens gate.

"The world tore itself apart the day I was born...my dad was missing due to some sort of assignment he had to do up here so...all I had left was my mom, my big brother and my little sister. But even that dint last long....my town...my home was all the way down south, miles away from Montana, and us? We were ready for when the bombs fell, or at least we thought. When we finally emerged from the bunkers and to the surface we knew the world we once loved was gone...forever. Me? Well, I was only 7 at that time and I dint really care, hell I thought this new world was beautiful. For a time it felt like everything was going to be alright, at least until I couldn't take it anymore...and left. But that's a story for another time. Now here I am chief of security working with rush here trying to build a "new America" (chuckles) at least that's what he calls it. I only started a few months ago but I figured i owed him so...here I am-" Man:incoming!!! Suddenly an explosion goes off sending your train car flying, before you could even comprehend what was happening a piece of metal hit you in the head as you blacked out. "My name is y/n l/n and this...is my story."

Justice Anderson has been in the military for the last 7 years. After being honorably discharged, Justice moved to Holland Valley, Hope County with the expectation of spending her days hunting for food, growing crops and learning to cope with her PTSD that her service kindly gifted to her. With her faithful companion of five years keeping her company and new neighbours to call her friends, she had a feeling things were finally going her way. That was until Joseph Seed and his family rolled into town with talk of Eden's Gate, a book of Joseph and the end of the world. Suddenly Hope County was spilt, with majority leaving the area or joining the cult, it only left a handful of people to fight back. Justice couldn't be more uninterested in fighting against the peggies and their leaders. She would prefer to be holed up on her little block of land, undisturbed and out of the way. That was until Sheriff Whitehorse brought around the new deputy to meet her. Before she knew it the deputy and she were running across the county together killing peggies, taking back out-posts, royally pissing off the Seed family and growing feelings towards her comrade.
