Bucky Barnes is a well known and well loved character. But let's put a twist on that. Jamie Rebecca Barnes. Friends call her Becky. She grew up with great parents and life was good. Winifred and George Barnes took good care of their children, even teaching their little girl how to shoot. When Jamie was thirteen, she noticed a small, scrawny boy being harassed by a couple of boys. She had been in her fair share of fights, so she stepped in to save the boy. The two became good friends. Steve Rogers was his name. And Becky stepped in quite a bit for the boy. Tragically, in 1935, Jamie and her brother lost their father. Their mother had died a few years prior. James, her brother, became a ward of the state. 18 as a young woman was too young to the government. But in 1941, both of their lives changed forever. The Untied States was entering the war. Soldiers and nurses were needed and both of the young Americans wanted to fight. They got their wish. But when a mission goes wrong, Jamie and Steve regretted it. *** She couldn't remember anything.
