This is a collection of recipes and reminiscences from over sixty years of boating and cooking aboard. A large part of my inspiration comes from visiting eighty-five countries and experiencing their cuisines. Though I have no professional training, I was an instructor in a major culinary school in the mid-1980s.

On a gravelly spit of land in the middle of nowhere, a man is about to die. Two friends on a photo trip on the west coast of British Columbia inadvertently run into a murder in progress. What to do? Well stop it of course! The problem is not readily apparent at first for these two combat veterans just looking for a little peace and quiet to take photos of wildlife. After the rescue, it becomes clear their lives have just changed completely. The man they have just saved is a drug lord of global reach and the police were to do the killing. How to prove self-defence, or a terrible misunderstanding when your only witness is one of the world's most wanted men? From the wilderness of British Columbia to fashionable society of Vancouver they will seek the solution without losing themselves.

A new book I've decided to write... And yes, I will finish this one. I promise >.> And yes, this is a book based around one of my characters, just in a modern setting. With the Falklands war almost over, Britain secured the islands with Argentinian forces retreating with their flags seemingly ripped to shreds. New Zealand has joined the war after the British Navy took the opportunity to use the Leander-class frigate in the naval blockade which the admiral had commanded. How wouldn't've the British known that this would be their biggest mistake they have ever made...

A little town in Brittany on the coast, forgotten but with pride. A freighter steams in one day in 1984. A man alights but doesn't know why he's there, just that his recently deceased father urged him, "Go to Bremarche," he says on his death bed. So Commander Hamilton-Stays, RN ret'd, does as instructed, entering a new world where the separatist movement is still fighting, forty years after the liberation of France. But it's not a war we would recognise, far too covert and subtle, yet dangerous all the same. Eloise Garunde, whose family stretch back a thousand years in Bremarche, would willingly help her new friend, except she is as lost as he is. It takes two young Germans, Gunter the history professor and Hilda, his awkward secretary, to bring some order to the confusion. But will the historians be able to unravel the mystery of Bremache?

The wind was blowing as hard as a tornado, the waves surged through the sky and the wolves houled all day long. The islands were peaceful, a place to live, a place to reign. The English treated us well, we were given food, we were given shelter. The days passed and our lives with them. We were woken up by alarms, the English ran through the town as explosions followed them. It was the righteous, the Argentinians. The English fled with nothing else to actually do. They were islands, full of petrol and nothing more valuable. They were a piece of ground close to the Argentinian border. They were here first, and they always were. The screams could be heard everywhere. The day passed, and the Argentinian militia walked through the islands. Tanks, full battalions of armored men positioned in the early coasts, where we worked. We had nothing to do, we were in a lockdown. The invasores were nowhere to be seen, everything was screams and orders from the Argentine officers. They would scare me, even when I was locked in my house, the dedication, the life, the men. Even though we were a mile from them, we could still hear the troops "No existe el frio, no existe el hambre, solo dios y la patria!" "Viva la patria!" The troops followed with a grate and steady shout. "VIVA!" The officer shouted again "VIVA LA PATRIA!" They responded "VIVA!"

The year is 2019 and a new global economic depression has reached it's third year. Argentina has been brought to it's knees when terrorists destroy the nations largest oil refineries and it's renewed militaristic government sets it's sights once again on the oil prospects within the waters of the Falkland Islands, launching an overwhelming attack on the under equipped and unprepared garrison force. The Second Falklands War has begun. Private Sean Miller, a newly trained soldier in the British Army, is about to have his first taste of combat. Along with the rest of the hastily organised task force sent to meet the hostile incursion, he is unaware of the world of sheer brutality that awaits him. Meanwhile in London, far from the fires of war, politicians, civil servants, and spies scramble to meet the foreign threat in their own ways. Clashing agendas, civil unrest, and escalating tensions with the rest of the world threaten to raise the body count higher.
