Evan woke from his cryogenic stasus, and found himself in the wasteland. Everything is different now. When he hears tales of a woman that goes by the title of the 'Sole Survivor', the only surviving occupant of Vault 111. Evan finds himself searching for this 'Sole Survivor' filled with both rage, and curiosity. With the help of a man named Preston Garvey, Evan must traverse the Wasteland, battling the radiation, in order to find this woman. Evan is fighting against the clock in order to get to the city. Preston promised Evan that they'd get to the city, but Evan's body is fighting itself every step of the way. All the while, Evan is battling the idea that the world, as he knew it, is gone, and thanks to Vault Tech, he's been thrust into a world that wants him dead.

The world has seen many technological advances since the end of the war between Ukraine and Russia, which was both a blessing and a curse. In 2072, a war breaks out between the modern sides of the Allies and the Axis. Americans, Germans and the British Colonies made up the Allies, while Russia, North Korea and China made up the main three of the Axis. The war was at its worst in 2077, when Y/N had just returned from a mission in Russia. He was sent home due to the alleged endangerment of his fellow soldiers; however, this granted him some immunity. His home was in a small town that was populated by no more than 30 people, and nearby was a cryogenics testing facility in the form of a vault. The company that owned it, Vault-Tec, was a government-funded organisation that worked to find ways to preserve human life in the case of global disaster: environmental, nuclear, or otherwise. Due to Y/N's service history, he was allowed into the vault during the nuclear warhead exchange between America and China, and that's where our story starts. (A/N: I got the idea from another author here who did a Star Trek voyager x fallout new vagues story, I recommend checking them out, also this story takes place roughly a decade or two after fallout 4, just so you know the timeline) First Commander (Y/N) (L/N), he was one of the few organic members of the Separatists army, tho unlike the well known generals he kept to himself in the rear. Tho that was on purpose, he fed information to the republic behind the count's back, because unlike most of the blind Separatists populous he noticed all the things his side are doing, so he and a few light minded people from both sides decided to secretly go rouge but when the war ended and he intercepted the deactivation code he knew something was off. So he and his team reprogrammed the droids and ran, later he found out that the republic became an empire and kept running until they encountered a purrgil beast in mid warp, while avoiding them they accidentally hit one Causing the ship to go haywire during warp and sent them spiraling into the unknown territory, once out of warp they became shiprecked on a planet but what will happen when this rouge Separatist appears in the wasteland.

Chief and Cortana crash land what's left of the Forward onto dawn on post Nuclear War Earth, crashing close to Sanctuary Hills, then head down to Concord in search of answers. There they meet the Remnants of the minute men, and Chief ends up as their General. the Time has come for the Minutemen to rise again, this time Wielding UNSC technology. of course, the Brotherhood of Steel's Airship showing up does complicate things just a bit. Meanwhile, the Sole Survivor continues to meet all sorts of weird and wonderful people while searching for Shaun. Surely things can't get worse though, right?
