This poetry book is about uplifting, surprising, beautiful, emotionally understanding poems. Sometimes people just need a pick me up, to be cheered for, a hug, reassurance. No one knows you the way you do. Whenever you feel like you just need some positive energy coming in today or that you just need to know or feel like everything is going to be okay, this is the book for you. Every year in late September and early October, there's a few weeks when the leaves are majorly green with a red and yellow tint; the air makes your hands turn purple, as the temperature drops. But you can't see your own breath, the birds haven't begun to migrate and the mosquitoes are still out and vicious. As the world shifts to its cold months, it desperately clings to life at the same time. It is the time before the first frost.

I've been in a writing slump for a few years and I'm trying to get back into it with some short stories based on prompts I find online. Links to the prompts used will be provided at the end of each chapter :)

While waiting outside a grocery store, Dave starts pondering the annual parade of colourful fall Mums-and why there's never any sign of a "Dad flower."
