Yashira's story begins long before she discovers what love truly means. Born in Sri Lanka during the civil war, she grows up surrounded by uncertainty. When she is only six months old, her father leaves for France to build a better future for his family. Years later, Yashira joins him, entering a country where everything feels unfamiliar: the language, the culture, and the people. Growing up as an immigrant child is not easy. At school, she faces bullying, rejection, loneliness, and struggles with her identity and appearance. For years, she tries to change herself just to be accepted, until she finally understands that the person she needs to accept is herself. As she grows older, Yashira begins to gain confidence, build friendships, and discover who she truly is. Then comes love. Her first crush teaches her that attraction is not always love, while her first rejection teaches her that being loved does not mean loving someone in return. After her parents' reaction to her feelings, she begins to believe that love may simply not be meant for her. Until a family trip takes her back to Sri Lanka. There, she meets Varun, someone she never expected to find and who makes her question everything she thought she knew about love. This time, it feels different. As Yashira enters this unexpected chapter, she must face feelings she never planned for, the distance between two worlds, and the fears that have followed her for years. Will Varun be the person Yashira has been waiting for? Or will the past keep her from finding the love she never thought she would have? Sometimes, before you find the right person, you have to find yourself first.
