A book for my Encanto oc, Elena Cortez-Madrigal is a 15 year old girl, who was adopted by the Family Madrigal and gladly welcomed into Casita, when she was just 3 years old, after her mother, Alicia tragically killed. Later, unexpectedly on her 5th birthday, miraculously, she got a gift...the gift of fireworks. Everyone in the family was quite surprised that someone, who's not in the Family Madrigal got a gift. Though, Elena very much loves her amazing gift and the warm love and welcome of the family, she felt like the family enigma, not knowing how and why, she got a gift and Mirabel didn't get hers instead, and she felt out of place in the family. Despite all that, she was very close with Mirabel, in fact, she was her best friend, and they were partners in crime, and each other's comfort. She also has a crush on a shapeshifting cousin of hers.
