For the last ten years, Winnie Fang was engaged to her so-called best friend, Matthew Lee at both their fathers' insistence and to strengthen their family's business ties. Winnie was not in love with Matthew and had treated him as a side character in her life, but was able to use the excuse of being educated and pursuing a career in business to delay the wedding. Recently, Winnie's father suddenly ran out of patience and furiously ordered Winnie to marry Matthew of the Lee family within six months or remove herself from the Fang family registry without negotiation. Realizing her time is limited, Winnie decided to partner up with Matthew to find ways to cut off their engagement and wedding, using every trick she could think of including shoving her younger sister toward the altar to replace Winnie, and whatever it takes to cancel her wedding with Matthew and be free from her destiny. However, once family secrets become revealed, Winnie and Matthew's wedding cancellations plans begin to backfire on themselves and each other, leading to a revengeful path of "ever after." Unless otherwise indicated, all the names, characters, businesses, places, events, and incidents in this book are either the product of the author's imagination or used in a fictitious manner. Any resemblance to actual persons, living or dead, or actual events is purely fictional. I placed a mature tag on it only because I think adults should be reading this in general and it's not suitable for a younger audience: immature relationships, toxic family, revenge plot, premarital sex, forced marriage, possible miscarriage, and melodramas.
