This short lecture marks an opening of a series of works about Obsessions and their analysis within the framework of the Church of Madness. This one is about how religion, as an Obsession, can bring to Ascension or Insanity.

Raised in an orphanage, Michael Stone had no knowledge of his origins. His entire life had been structured around education, hard work and obedience. Michael often found himself fantasizing about the outside world, sometimes fabricating elaborate stories escape the mundane. Not much liked by his fellow orphans Michael spent much of his time outlasted and alone. This is the story of a 13 year old boy who is ripped away from all he knows and confronted with hard truths. When his ordinary world is invaded by the unbelievable. Michael finds him self facing a new way life in two worlds at war. He is confronted with the hard fact that Magic is real; not only that it is real but he is able to use it. Michael must learn how to hone his powers if he wishes to survive a new world full of astonishing creatures and a deadly magical game.

This is an excerpt from my book, The Ultimate Religion - Taken in by a Cult, Finding the Real Truth. In this chapter Megan, the protagonist, has just been driven out of her happy life in Fishguard by a stalker, back to her childhood town of Hastings, where she has tentatively been attending the church of her youth and finding little comfort. Megan has gone to the park to spend some time alone and is harassed there by Connie, a fanatical bible basher, whom she is too polite to dismiss.

Reincarnation is a popular genre, isn't it? Well, I want to file a complaint to the god or system in charge of it! Where was my adventure!? My relaxing days of rolling in the bed!? Give it back! I'm perfectly content with playing games all day and being a useless shut in if this was what awaits me in this world! I absolutely hate this job you irresponsibly thrown at me! Ahem. Let's rewind a bit. Upon waking up one day, I found myself in a different world...but along with my floating city, dragons, tanks and spaceships?! Although it's nice I'm a princess now, but the stress from stopping this world from barreling straight to the destruction end by the hands of my fanatical subordinates might be too much! Someone please help! This might be impossible for me after all...but this is fine! After all, you'll handle everything, future me! Right!? I will leave everything to you!
