As the first book of In Another Life, in Deja Vu, Fang and Janet meet each other in a world where chaos has erupted after the Great War of Retropolis. The two have just met for the first time, but their heart aches so bad when they look at the other, almost as if...there was an ancient past they had long forgotten, one that transpired long ago. Like they're getting deja vu.
